Overview The confidential Personnel Team provides direction and recommendations to the Priest and Priest Advisory Team for employee policies, compensation and benefits, mutual ministry reviews/performance management, and Safe Church compliance

Things we manage or decide:

  1. Employee Policies
  2. Compensation and Benefits
  3. Mutual Ministry Reviews/performance management
  4. Employee Safe Church compliance
  5. Determine the yearly budgetary needs of the team for recommendation to the Finance Team

Activities we are accountable for

  1. Development and implementation of Employee Policies
  2. Enroll and manage employee defined contribution plan, short term disability and life insurance
  3. Make recommendations for employee compensation
  4. Record and manage employee Paid Time Off
  5. Provide Employee Safe Church compliance
  6. Oversee implementation of mutual ministry reviews/employee management of employees in conjunction with the Priest-in-Charge
  7. Approve expenditures for team budgetary line items

How can you help, what skills do you need?

  1. Experience and skills in Human Resources and/or Employment law
  2. Ability to manage confidentiality in personnel matters

What is the time commitment?

  1. The Personnel Team meets once a month (or often as needed) for 1.5 hours.
  2. In addition to this time, you could expect to spend an additional 10 hours per month on Personnel Team tasks based upon the tasks with which you choose to assist or oversee
