Creation Care

Members:  Diane Grier, Dana Strande, Kelly Casey, Adrian Schottroff, Cathy Reichert
 
 
Overview: The commitment to our Earth is inherent in our faith. As a whole church, we have promised to place the care of God’s Creation at the heart of our common life. We are a presence within the community to remind people of our duty to care for creation.
 
Things we manage:
  1. Offer suggestions, action steps, for caring for creation through the Creation Corner in Nativity Notes. 
  2. Provide information about education opportunities in the broader community regarding Creation Care. 
  3. Oversee the Adult Education topics during creation weeks, including hanging the Creation Care banner
  4. Welcome others who are interested in creation care to join and attend meetings. 
 
Accountability:
  1. Attend bimonthly meetings of the Interfaith Creation Care South Metro on Monday evenings at 6:30 
  2. Submit information for the Creation Corner to the administrator in a timely fashion. 
  3. Advance opportunities to care for the earth presented within Nativity’s community. 
 
Time commitment:  
  1. ICCSM Meetings are 1 1/2 hours.
  2. Attend Adult Faith Formation meetings to plan Creation Care offerings 1 1/2 hours
  3. Researching topics for Creation corner 1 hour
