Lifelong Learning

“What are you studying?” I asked.

“Early childhood education,” she responded to my question, with more than a little bit of pride.

I continued to inquire, “What attracted you to that course of study?”

Without hesitation she responded, “I want to be a part of the lifelong learning process.”

A big smile came across my face. Whether we are in our early days or are in the later season of life, being engaged in learning is critical to our mind and our soul.

ECMN’s vision is to be a network of faith communities called to transformation by engaging God’s mission. For this good and holy work to take place, we need to, as Paul writes to the faith community in Ephesus, “equip the saints for ministry.”

Besides a number of very strong faith community formation offerings, ECMN strives to provide an arc of formation across the generations. Click here to learn more about statewide opportunities for youth (including retreats and camps) and click here to learn more about the School for Formation, which provides online courses and in-person workshops to strengthen faith and ministry.

The Episcopal Church has some very solid, easily accessible formation resources as well. Everything from small group curriculum to help you dive more deeply into the Way of Love to Lent and Ascension resources. Click here to learn more.

Good saints of ECMN, I invite all of us to equip ourselves for transformation by taking advantage of the outstanding formation opportunities available to us.
